Caring for your Dovedale Ceramics

All of our ceramics are hand painted and fired at our workshop in Dovedale (hence the name) which is just 2.5 miles away from our main workshop in Tissington. Each piece is unique. We’ve put together a short guide on how to keep your ceramics looking their best.

Washing

Our ceramics are designed for everyday use but not for everyday cleaning in the dishwasher. 

We recommend that you lovingly wash them in warm soapy water after use and then every now and again give them a blitz in the dishwasher. We advise against daily dishwashing to protect the special finish.

Microwave 

We advise against microwaving. Due to the natural earthenware nature of the product it can become very hot in the microwave. Please be aware of this if you decide to pop any of your Dovedale Ceramics in the microwave.

Oven

Our Ceramics are ovenproof.
